has-beens making a come back

it looks as though TSS and pertussis are coming back- back with a vengeance. toxic shock syndrome has been on a steady rise the past decade or so. there's a new strain of TSS that we may not be equipped to handle as of now, yet so many girls can't seem to 'unplug' before bedtime. this just makes me giggle. how embarrassing to end up in the er or dead because you left your tampax in too long. have fun explaining that one to your crush of the week ladies! whooping cough has also been on the rise the past few years. it seems so ancient that i laugh at this because parents are at fault if their little shits die from this as they didn't take care of their vaccinations. there is, however, a mutated strain out as well. it sounds as though the new strain can also be dealt with by getting those 3 shots as an infant.
diseases with great names are making a comeback so i have more to laugh at when the 6 o'clock news comes on. this makes me smile
